The room

This is a small therapy room located on Borough High Street, within easy walking distance from London Bridge and Borough tube stations. It is equipped with everything you need for talk therapy sessions: an armchair and a long sofa (appropriate for individual clients or couples), lamps for warm lighting, clocks, a jug and glasses for water, and a supply of tissues. The windows can be opened for improved ventilation, and the room has an air purifier equipped with HEPA filter and UVC lamp, which have been shown to remove SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses from the air. The room also has a beautiful view towards the east, receiving morning sun and lovely light in the afternoon. You can see pictures in the gallery.

Building and area

The room is located on the fourth floor of a large office building. There are lifts, but the ground floor is only accessible by a short flight of stairs. The building has toilets, shower and kitchen facilities, and a large outdoor terrace which you will be able to use. It is possible to book a room for larger meetings, and to use the printer on the premises. Reception is staffed from 08:30 to 18:00, but there is 24-hour access via a keycard.

London Bridge station is a major transport hub, and is easily accessible by clients on the Northern and Jubilee Underground lines, and by mainline trains from southeast London. It is a short walk across the river from the City of London. There are plenty of shops and restaurants on Borough High Street and nearby Borough Market.

Renting the room

I am renting the room primarily for my own private practice, and subletting it to cover my costs. This is reflected in the rental fees, which are very reasonable compared to going rates. The suggested fees are:

  • One full day a week (morning to evening, weekdays) : £350 per month

  • One half day a week (morning to 2pm OR 2pm until evening) : £200 per month

  • Ah hoc bookings (rate depends on frequency): £10 - £15 per hour

  • Weekend rates are discounted relative to weekdays - please inquire

I am happy to discuss reduced fees with therapists just starting their practice, who offer primarily low-cost sessions, or who otherwise may have trouble paying the full rate. Any new user will need to pay a once-off fee of £30 for a new keycard for building access.
